Mission Statement
The mission of Total MMA Studios is to provide our members with the highest quality of instruction in a variety of martial disciplines, while at the same helping them build strong character traits they can use throughout their daily lives.

The staff of qualified instructors is committed to ensuring that everyone who walks through our doors is treated with respect and given the opportunity to learn in a fun and safe environment.

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a form of a martial art that focuses on the importance of ground fighting for self-defense as well as a martial sport. The art evolved from Judo in the early 20th century in Brazil and was made popular in the mid 1990’s in America with introduction of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The goal of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is to offer an answer to any kind of attack whether standing or on the ground by using movement and leverage to attack your opponent weakest points. The Techniques focus on an array of joint locks and chokeholds that are used to subdue any attacker regardless of size and strength.

In this class you will be taught both the tradition Kimono (GI) and non GI applications. Students will also learn the importance of the “Tap Out” as a way to signal submission while applying these techniques. You will also be given the opportunity to implement your knowledge in our sparring and competition classes. There you will learn how to apply the art as a combative sport that will prepare you for competitions. Every class in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program will help build your foundation for the art while helping you progress through the belt system.

Mixed Martial Arts

Mixed Martial Arts is a full contact combat sport evolving from the style vs. style martial arts tournament structure that were popular in the late 20th century. Participants of these tournaments found greater success in the cage by cross training and learning techniques from a variety of martial arts. Over time these fighters learned to blend these techniques fluidly giving them an advantage over single disciplined fighters. This new outlook on martial arts over the years would eventually evolve into modern day MMA.

Total MMA studios offers this modern day approach to martial arts in an exciting class structure. Members will learn to combine techniques from MMA’s most popular styles such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Muay Thai and Boxing. In this class you will not only learn the fundamentals of each style but also learn how to transition and implement these techniques in any combative situation.

Muay Thai

Often referred to as the science of eight limbs, Muay Thai is one of the most devastating striking martial arts ever created. Originating in Thailand the art teaches its students to not only use the hands and feet as weapons but also the elbows and knees.

Total MMA Studios offers a great program for this dynamic martial art, in this class you will not only learn the use of all 8 weapons but you will also be able to develop those skills through the use of bag work, focus mitts and sparring.

Boxing

Often called the “Sweet Science” western style boxing is an art dedicated to nothing other then the fist. Known for its lighting quick combinations and elaborate footwork practitioners of this sport sharpen their skills through the use of bag work, focus mitts, shadow boxing and sparring.

Total MMA studios offers a unique opportunity with this program as the gym gives its members two different types of boxing classes, one focusing on techniques and sparring while the other focuses mainly on cardio.

The classic boxing class will give its practitioners the ability to strengthen their skill and endurance through all the elements a fighter will need to be successful in the ring. This class will also offer its members sparring time to put those techniques learned into use in a controlled safe atmosphere. The Cardio class on the other hand will still give its practitioners a solid foundation for the sport but focus more on strength and cardiovascular endurance with the use of bag work and calisthenics.

Cardio Kickboxing

Want to have fun while working out and burning calories? Come join one of our most popular programs here at Total MMA Studios, our cardio kickboxing class. Proven to not only burn a high percentage of calories, our cardio kickboxing class will increase flexibility, strength and cardiovascular endurance while you learn practical self defense skills with your hands and feet.

Our coaches are trained to not only instruct you but motivate you to succeed through some of our most intense workouts. These sessions will include a blend calisthenics, wall sits and jogging while you work the bag learning combinations with your hands and feet. The class will also build coordination, timing and rhythm. Come join us for one of the best workouts you will ever have!

Youth Program

Here at Total MMA Studios we are committed to creating a program that not only teaches kids the technical aspect of martial arts but the moral standards that will build lifelong character traits such as self discipline, work ethics and respect.

The program consists of techniques from all classes we offer, everything from Brazilian Jujitsu to boxing is laid out in our youth program. This approach will help build the child’s coordination, balance as well as developing flexibility and muscle memory to master the fundamental movements of mixed martial arts.
