We would just like to thank our members Melissa Davis and Melinda Terrell for their efforts this past weekend @ the Subfighter-MMA All Women’s Tournament. Although both competitors lost going into the semi’s both showed a ton of heart and skill in each of their performances.

No matter the outcome ladies, just know you made us all proud!!!

We would like to congratulate Brazilian Top Team member Steven Kroesen on his tournament victories this past weekend, the BTT youth member would dominate his division @ the 2012 Pankration championships and ultimately take home the gold the day.

For the students that made it out yesterday to Coach Veldez’s wrestling seminar they had a rare opportunity to train with and learn from one of the best collegiate wrestler in California.

Covering the fundamentals of the double and single leg wrestling attacks Coach Valdez was very detailed in his approach to teaching and made sure everyone that was there that day understood the technique before moving on to the next one. Overall the seminar was great as many of the students left thrilled over the new knowledge they acquired.

The Total MMA Studios staff thanks Coach Veldez for his time and welcomes him back anytime!

The coaching staff here @ Total MMA Studios / Brazilian Top Team Orange County would like to wish both Melinda Terrell and Melissa Davis good luck this Sunday at Subfighter-MMA’s first all women submission grappling event. Both have been training extremely hard this past month and look prepared to take home the gold in their own divisions.

Good luck ladies, we will all be cheering for you that day!!!

Attention Total MMA Studios/ Brazilian Top Team members!!!

The coaching staff would like to remind you about our no-gi jiu-jitsu classes every Mon and Weds night. The class currently is being taught by our guest instructor Samuel Quito, a MMA fighter and Leo Vieira black belt from Brazil. The class start @ 7:45 on those days and covers all the fundamental grappling techniques needed to be a successful grappler, so if you are interested please be sure tocheck out the class!
